Shoulder

The shoulder is a complex joint that is compromised of three bones, four muscles known as the rotator cuff, ligaments, bursa and labrum.

The shoulder is a crucial joint in day to day and sporting activities and therefore injuries to this joint can be painful and frustrating. The shoulder is commonly injured in overhead throwing athletes, tackling sports and falling onto an outstretched arm.

An assessment from one of our physiotherapists can assist in identifying the structure causing your pain and provide you with a management plan to improve your function.

The correct diagnosis of your shoulder pain from a physiotherapist is essential as usually shoulder pain does not resolve with rest and continues to be aggravated with activity.

Injuries and conditions we treat include AC joint sprains, rotator cuff tears, impingement, bursitis, shoulder instability and frozen shoulder.
